So, we have created a special Out-of-Towners plastic surgery program to meet the needs of our out-of-town and out-of-country guests. Our “Out-of-Towners Program” flies you to nearby Albany International Airport (ALB), provides transportation to our practice and hospital, as well as discounted rates at the fabulous, world-renown Equinox Resort and Spa. You’ll be pampered and cared for throughout your visit! Other area airports are Hartford Bradley (87 miles), and Boston Logan (118 miles) International Airports.*

4 SIMPLE STEPS TO A MORE BEAUTIFUL YOU!

Step 1 - The Consultation

Prior to scheduling your procedure, Dr. Metzner will examine you and review your medical history to determine whether you are a good candidate for the procedure in Vermont. Plastic surgery consultations can be conducted in one of two ways:

• “Drive or Fly-in” Personal Consultation and Exam
  Visit us at our office for a personal examination and consultation with Dr. Metzner. Vermont is beautiful any time of the year, and this is the perfect method for those who wish to visit with Dr Metzner prior to making a final decision. (View Larger Map)
• Online Consultation and Evaluation by Email and Phone
  Request an online Online consultation and we will email a packet of materials to be completed for review by Dr. Metzner. Once we receive your forms and photos, we will schedule a phone consultation between you and Dr. Metzner to review your goals and concerns, preferred dates for your surgery and the completed forms. This method is perfect for those who have digital photos and enjoy the convenience of email and phone communication.

Step 2 - Scheduling

When you have decided that you are ready to continue with the proposed procedure, we will schedule your surgery. Our Patient Coordinator will call or email you to confirm your preferred date. You will send a deposit (payable by check or credit card) to reserve your date, with final payment due with your medical forms three weeks prior to your surgery date. For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards, including international cards.

Step 3 - Your Procedure

Once you have flown into Albany International Airport, you will be taken by private car to our Vermont plastic surgery office for a preoperative visit with our staff. We will do a physical examination, discuss pre and post operative instructions and check you into your room at the Equinox Resort, where you can enjoy the beautiful pool, the relaxing grounds and sumptuous gourmet fare.

On day 2, you will be escorted to the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, where you will meet their kind and experienced staff and review and sign the operative consent forms. On the way, your guide will point out the many fascinating historical scenes that Vermont is famous for. Our area is known for the Battle of Bennington, one of many Revolutionary War battles fought for US independence. If time is available, you may choose to visit some of the most interesting sites, such as the Grandma Moses Museum or the Bennington Battle Monument. You’ll have the rest of that day to relax, enjoy nearby shopping, or avail yourself of the many activities available at the Equinox, which include golf, archery, skeet-shooting, falconry, fly-fishing, and skiing (depending on the season of course!). You might even wish to try out the Land Rover off-road driving school.

On surgery day, you will be escorted to the hospital for your procedure. After your initial preparation, Dr. Metzner will speak with you again and place his surgical markings, and before you know it, your transformation will be complete! You will recover for a brief time in the special Plastic Surgery Recovery Suite before being driven back to your room at the Equinox. Either Dr. Metzner or one of our associates will visit with you on the evening of your procedure to assure you that all is going well. Medications will be provided for any discomfort or sleep concerns and you’ll rest easy in your beautiful Equinox suite, where Room Service is as close as your phone 24 hours a day. Overnight hospital stay, at reduced rates, is available if you prefer.

Step 4 - Recovery

We request that our international patients stay in the area for a week to 10 days to assure adequate recovery before flying home, as your health and well-being is of paramount importance to us. Your post-op visits will be held at Dr. Metzner’s Vermont plastic surgery office, a short walk from your hotel room.

On your return home, your friends and family will find you pleased and rested. They will all notice that your international vacation was very good to you!
