Manchester Otoplasty - Ear Surgery

Some people are born with ears that stick out from the side of the head and are more prominent than others’. Some people are not bothered by their ears while others suffer from social setbacks because of their ears. For these people, Manchester plastic surgeon Dr. David Metzner offers a cosmetic surgery procedure called otoplasty, or commonly referred to as ear surgery.

Vermont Otoplasty surgically sets the ears back against the sides of the head, so the protrusion is minimized and the ears are brought to a normative position on the sides of the head. Children who’s ears stick out too far from the side of their head are often the subject of bullying and teasing. With otoplasty, we can spare our children the harsh ridicule of other young people. Otoplasty can be performed on children as early as 4 years old. Adult patients may also benefit from ear surgery.
